Job Roles

There are many different job roles in the development of video games, each group has their own task, whether it be concept artists, programmers, level creators, beta testers, or others. When video games were first created, they could be made by just one or two people, but as the technology has improved, so has the expectations and possibilities, this requires significantly more workers, and in turn more job roles.
(bellow are some of the roles and what they do.)

Game Designer: a game designer is normally behind the original design of the game, which would include the rules, the content, characters and story, while he would be behind the original design and idea, 'convincing' the other members of the team how he would like the game to pan out.

Voiseover artists: a voiseover artist is one few artists that are responsible for voicing the in-game character and enemies, recording their lines for the character in recording studios that then allow the audio programmer to add them to the correct character.

AI Programer: An AI programer is one of many programmers who job  revolves around the AI of the game which includes how the enemies and allies react.

Concept Artist: a concept artist is the person who will brings a written or scripted pre-built story to life with drawing

Interface Programmer: an interface programmer is sort of self explanatory, it is the person that produce a working interface for the player/players to interact or make options or alter settings. for example this could be the main menu screen, creating working buttons to take you the player to a different screen or tell the system to load new areas.

2D and 3D Animators: a 2d animator creates single frames along a two dimensional time-frame,when all the frames are played consecutively they create a video, the frames moving creates an illusion of movement. a 3d animator creates imaginary objects and character that moves around  in either a photo-realistic environment or a cartoon environment. not only do they move around, they interact with other characters are amongst the word created.
